All SPI Supplies Brand PTFE jars are chemically inert, non-contaminating, and are thermally stable in the range of -200°C (390°F) to + 280°C (+536°F). The jars also have a "super smooth" finish making it virtually impossible for anything to "stick" to the surface of these fine laboratory products. Suitable for IPA Method 1311 TCLP.

Details of the manufacturing:
The bottles are isostatically molded from pure virgin PTFE resulting in a highly inert material, with very heavy wall construction, one that will stand up to nearly everything one might want to put into it. The super smooth internal finish means that virtually nothing will really stick to it. The base is precision machined for good heat transfer on a hot plate.
Cautions about over heating:
PTFE jars can not be taken to temperatures as high as glass. The user has to be sure they do not overheat PTFE jars. If PTFE is overheated, especially in air, it can start to break down by both thermal decomposition and oxidation, resulting in fumes of HF which should not be inhaled under any circumstances.
Use in connection with food:
Isostatically molded in pure, FDA approved, PTFE
Important Safety Notice:
Do not use when sealed for chemical reactions or digestions. Loosen lid when thermally sterilizing.
