PEAK Pocket Microscope EIM 100x Field of View .86mm Net mm diameter 20.7 x 111 Weight 26g
The PEAK Pocket Microscope EIM represent the ultimate in "pocket microscopes". Its design is small, light and compact. The major advantage is the image is "erect" or in other words, not inverted. The erect image is made possible with small prisms built right into the compact body of the microscope. The presence of the non-inverted image is highly valuable in terms of interpreting images since it enables the viewer to easily compare what is seen through the microscope vs. what is seen with the unaided eye.

These precision crafted microscopes provide a high resolving power and a surprising amount of brightness in the final image. The PEAK pocket microscopes EIM are used whenever someone is confronted with the need to see something "better" than they could otherwise see with the unaided (or naked) eye. And it comes with a pen clip to conveniently "clip" right onto a shirt pocket, just as you would a ball point pen!
We would recommend this style pocket microscope whenever the surfac texture and morphology being studied is complicated and one does not need the further confusion of an inverted image microscope.
The microscope style comes in four different magnifications. Many of our customers purchase more than one, with different magnifications, for different applications.
Materials of construction:
Glass lens housed in both clear and black shock resistant plastic. We won't guarantee that if dropped, it won't break, but we have experienced our share of dropped scopes and almost always, the pocket microscope survives.
Some typical applications:
- Microscopy laboratory for specimen examination before sample preparation
- Printed circuit board inspection, especially for hair line cracks
- Printing industry for "dot" measurement
- Jewelers for examining gem stones
- Geology, for aid in mineral identification
- Forensic investigators especially for field applications
