SPI Supplies Brand Sputtered Gold on 200 Mesh Copper Grid TEM Test Specimen
A Formvar® coated grid is sputtered with gold, producing a uniform polycrystalline coating and when looked at by electron diffraction, the ring patterns are perfect for the SAED (Selected Area Electron Diffraction) camera constant calibration. One could not find a sample with more distinct rings that are ideal for measuring that what are found on this sample. This special sample is supplied on a 200 mesh 3.05 mm copper grid. As with any TEM specimen, there is some element of fragility, and the grid can not be expected to last forever. But the film is reasonably "robust" and can be expected to be used for some number of times.
