Critical Point Dryer
The technique of critical point drying is not new; it has been a part of the light microscopy, electron microscopy and microanalysis field since 1970 when it became clear that the air drying of many types of samples, primarily biological samples, would produce intolerable drying artifacts.
SPI-Dry Critical Point Dryers are economical, easy to use manual systems that can fit in most any lab. A large chamber size offers the capability to run many samples at one time up to 1.5" in diameter. More information on critical point drying may be found here: CPD Techniques
